The Technion won 1st Prize at a Food Production Competition

A team from the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Engineering in the Technion won the first place at a food production competition, focused on micro-seaweed. The Technion team won with a spirulina-enriched falafel with astaxanthin-enriched tahini. The second prize was awarded to a team from Hohenheim, Germany for developing a vegan product based on lentils and enriched in spirulina. A team from Helsinki, Finland, won the third prize for developing a fermented vegan dessert.
