Collaborations between large food corporations and disruptive startups are often beneficial for both parties. That’s what happened when Joyce Zhu, a young management consultant from New Jersey, who develops a nougat-like candy based on her family recipe, was hosted by the food company Land O’Lakes in its startups incubators program for two months. During the last decade, more than 75 incubators and accelerators were founded in the food industry in North America, many of them by food giants such as Coca-Cola, Pepsico, Kellog’s and others. “We believe the future of food is built on collaboration,” said Seth Kaufman of Pepsico.
